Meet Sorrel!
Sorrel is one our youngest does born in March of 2023. I purchased her from the same farm I purchased Mushu and many of my other goats. I brought her home in April of that year and bottle fed until she was weaned. One of the best parts about bottle feeding is how incredibly friendly they become. It makes caring for them even more enjoyable.
Sorrel is a Nubian, like most of our herd and unlike Mushu, Sorrel is definitely going to be one of the first ones over to you, screaming at the fence looking for attention and maybe a snack. It’s hard to believe that when I first brought Sorrel home, she was really shy. It has been amazing watching her come out of her shell and become a part of the herd. She has gone from hanging in the back, to constantly trying to squeeze herself through the gate whenever you try to enter the paddock.
When Sorrel isn’t screaming for food and attention from humans, she can be found either hanging out with her buddy Mushu, or causing trouble with some of the other does. Sorrel is a part of our breeding program and will be expecting her first kids in spring of 2026. Check out our Instagram @thegoatfarmnh for regular updates on Sorrel and the rest of the herd!
