The breakfast sausage I make is usually made with pork so when I found this recipe I was definitely excited to try it. My brother has never been a fan of regular breakfast sausage but when I made him try this, he absolutely loved it. Since then, I usually will make this for special occasions like Christmas or Thanksgiving mornings and it’s always a favorite.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1lb lean ground lamb
- 1/8 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp marjoram
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp sage
INSTRUCTIONS
- Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl
- Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight.
- Shape into patties about 1/2in thick
- To freeze, add a little cold water and mix into the patties before freezing to keep the patties from crumbling when they’re taken out to defrost.
- To cook, use a skillet and cook over medium heat until brown.
- Serve and enjoy!
