Lamb Breakfast Sausage Recipe

The breakfast sausage I make is usually made with pork so when I found this recipe I was definitely excited to try it. My brother has never been a fan of regular breakfast sausage but when I made him try this, he absolutely loved it. Since then, I usually will make this for special occasions like Christmas or Thanksgiving mornings and it’s always a favorite.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb lean ground lamb
  • 1/8 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp sage

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl
  • Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight.
  • Shape into patties about 1/2in thick
  • To freeze, add a little cold water and mix into the patties before freezing to keep the patties from crumbling when they’re taken out to defrost.
  • To cook, use a skillet and cook over medium heat until brown.
  • Serve and enjoy!
