Our farm was founded in 2023 by Rowan Keniston, but the dream behind it began long before then. While goats were always our original goal, our farming journey actually started with chickens. They were our first step into building a small, intentional farm, teaching us the daily rhythms of animal care and reinforcing our desire to grow something meaningful. Before long, goats made their way onto the farm, right where they were meant to be from the very beginning.
For over 10 years, we’ve raised goats and grown alongside them, gaining hands on experience and a deep appreciation for what it means to care for livestock responsibly. Today, we raise Boer and Nubian goats, breeds we’ve found to be excellent meat producers for our farm. Their efficiency, resilience, and the rich flavor of their meat make them a perfect fit for our operation. And beyond practicality, goats bring a lot of joy to everyday farm life. Their curiosity, antics, and unmistakable personalities keep things interesting, and those floppy goat ears never fail to make us smile.
While you may find other animals living on our farm over time, our goats will always be the heart and soul of why we started this journey in the first place. They are central to our mission and our passion, shaping how we farm and why we do what we do.
Our animals are carefully attended to every single day, with close attention paid to their health, comfort, and overall well-being. We believe good farming is found in the details, observing behavior, noticing small changes, and responding with care. Each animal has its own personality, and taking the time to understand them individually makes caring for them more effective and meaningful in the long run.
We follow the natural rhythm of the seasons, focusing on raising healthy, well cared for animals throughout the summer months. In the winter, we offer meat CSAs that showcase what was raised during the growing season, giving our customers a direct connection to their food and the work behind it.
We are incredibly passionate about small scale farming and committed to using local hay and feed whenever possible. Supporting local agriculture and maintaining transparency matters deeply to us, because everyone deserves to know where their meat comes from and how it was raised. From thoughtful animal care to responsible sourcing, we’re proud to raise food with intention and to share it with a community that values honest, ethical farming.
